The South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) has issued a Water Shortage Warning for Miami-Dade County. This warning is due to ongoing dry conditions and increased water use, which have lowered water levels in the Biscayne Aquifer, the primary source of drinking water for Miami-Dade County. There are no mandatory restrictions at this time. However, voluntary conservation is strongly encouraged to help stabilize aquifer levels and prevent additional measures.

Qualifying Dates: December 18, 2025, through January 16, 2026, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

The qualifying deadline has expired for the GENERAL ELECTION scheduled to be held in the City of Hialeah Gardens, on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, in order to elect the following candidate offices:

Council Group II - Luciano "Lucky" Garcia (qualified)
Council Group IV - Elmo L. Urra (qualified)

Notice is hereby give that the scheduled GENERAL ELECTION is not required due to no opposition.
