| The
Public Works Department maintains all public property within the City
limits including public streets and right-of-ways. The department
is also responsible for the Storm Water Utility, which oversees the
City’s storm water management. Services for waste management are contracted to the private sector providing cost efficiency in keeping with the City’s fiscal responsibility. Hialeah Gardens will be implementing a citywide beautification program starting this November, whereby public areas and medians will be receiving landscaping and maintenance services to enhance the esthetics of our community.
