The Zoning Department provides efficient services to the public
through plans processing and inspection, which ensures the protection
of our citizens.
OBJECTIVES:

Assist
home and business owners in complying with the Code. |

Protect
promote and improve property values and the quality of the City
by maintaining the aesthetic quality of the City’s business,
commercial and residential neighborhoods. |

Maintain
development records and plans; prepare reports and plans for
the City Council and other governmental agencies. |

Interprets
regulations to staff and landowners and issues recommendations
on request for development petitions. |
The
City’s Comprehensive Plan was adopted on June 6, 2000. It’s
own Land Development Regulations (LDRs), which contains procedures,
regulations and standards for all development and use of land in
the City serve as the primary tool used to implement the goals and
objectives of the City’s Comprehensive Plan.
The
Zoning Department is located next to City Hall at 10001 N.W. 87th
Avenue in Hialeah Gardens. Office hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00
p.m., Monday through Friday. All zoning applications and pertinent
information regarding the application process are available for
pickup or may be downloaded from the City’s website.
